Whippoorwill Club
The heritage and tradition of the Whippoorwill Club dates back to the mid-1920s when Donald Ross, a leading golf course architect, designed the course. At that time Ross was at the pinnacle of his career and the most recognized architect of his day.
In 1928, Charles Banks assumed responsibility for the course's final design. It is said that remodeling of more than thirty golf courses from 1921 until his death in 1931, believed Whippoorwill to be his masterpiece.
