THE TEE CLAW
By: Gregg Josephson

The tee claw is one of the simplest, easiest, travel friendly, and most effective training aids golfers of all skill levels can own. The tee claw was originally invented for golfers who hit off of mats so that they wouldn't have to use the rubber tees that come with the mats. Those tees are built for durability, not play ability. Most mats today are engineered so you can stick a regular tee right into the mat although the surface does not hold the tee like the earth does so the player ends up losing the tee with every shot. For this application its great, it eliminates the use of the rubber pole tee and the end of the alignment string is tucked under the back of the mat preventing the tee from going soaring.
In my opinion the best part of the tee claw is the alignment aid it adds. I have been playing golf almost my entire life and sometimes there are so many swing thoughts its easy to forget how important your swing alignment is. The tee claw easily solves all your swing direction issues. Before the tee claw I was a big advocate of alignment sticks, but alignment sticks are kind of just thrown down there, then they move, then you move them with your club to set them to what you think is straight, and before you know it you are doing more harm then good. Don't get me wrong, if you stand behind the ball and set the alignment stick properly its a great training aid, but I rarely see anyone do that. You are forced to do it the right way with the tee claw. You set the tee, then you set the string. You can work on draws, fades, hooks, slices, and straight balls. The tee claw is really a great training aid for all handicappers as the lower handicappers will most likely look on gaining ball control with draws and fades, and beginners want that extra visual aid of keeping the club on plane as best they can.

It is also worth noting the tee claw is owned and founded by John Black is served in the US Marine Corps. His daughter in the photo here now serves as well. Supporting a veteran with a great product is a no brainer!
